We’re publishing all our data on who we’ve awarded funding to in a new way, so it fits with a new standard that means anyone can access, use and share the information.
While our investments have been published on our website before now, 360Giving sets out a standard way for this information to be presented.
We’ve joined 60 other grant makers in being part of the 360Giving Standard, making us the second lottery distributor – behind Big Lottery Fund – to publish our grants data as open data.
GRANTS OPEN DATA
360Giving was established in 2015 with the purpose of joining together data from funders to establish what was being funded, where and when.
They support organisations to publish their grants data in an open, standardised way helping funders to make more informed decisions, as well as helping organisations looking for funding to make more targeted applications.
This is achieved by collating awards data from various funders across the country, such as Comic Relief, BBC Children in Need, Nesta, Virgin Money Foundation, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and The Co-operative Group. The full list can be found here.
GRANTNAV
The data is also included in the GRANTNAV tool. This is a free-to-use search engine that allows anyone to search all award records from funders that are signed up, giving detail on who, where and how much is being awarded through the thousands of grants given across the UK each year.
The Sport England data can be downloaded by clicking here.
